Th. Geyer Ingredients Norderstedt – this has been the name of Bressmer & Francke since 2025. Over 100 years of tradition and innovation in the production and trade of food ingredients combine perfectly with the Th. Geyer Group's more than 130-year success story.

Since the takeover in 2020, the business has been continued on a sustainable basis and the customer base has been significantly expanded. This is because Th. Geyer Ingredients Norderstedt has a strong international sales network and is certified according to the IFS standard.

At the Norderstedt site, oils are filled into IBCs and canisters and delivered to our customers throughout Europe. The fats are mainly delivered to customers in cartons.

The main customers for edible oils are food manufacturers, but also customers from the chemical-technical and cosmetics industries. In addition, cereals and products made from them are also sold.

IFS certification underscores our commitment to the highest standards in all processes. It offers our customers clear added value: globally recognised quality and safety standards, transparency in all production steps, and a culture of product and food safety that is put into practice. This increases the trustworthiness of our products and at the same time strengthens the safety and competitiveness of our customers in the market.

We have our own storage facilities at our site in Norderstedt. From here, we supply you with cereal products, fat powders, oils and fats. Optimal quality is our claim. We are a member of the foodRegio industry network and the KIN Food Institute Schleswig-Holstein.

1919

Company formation

On 21 February, Friedrich H. Bressmer founds the company in Hamburg, initially focusing on the export of chemicals.
1920

Expansion of the portfolio I

At the beginning of the 1920s, trade in edible oils began after Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Hewel, Friedrich H. Bressmer's father-in-law, converted a linseed oil mill. Initially confined to the Hamburg region, trade expanded throughout Germany with the bottling of oil in cans.
1924

Expansion of the portfolio I

The additional packaging division serves customers who already purchase oils and fats. In 1939, the Friedrich H. Bressmer company is founded to handle this packaging business. Many years later, the two companies merge.
1945

Change of leadership

Claus Bressmer joins the company. The following decades are marked by the expansion of the portfolio and the development of new markets in Europe.
